About the Author           

Dr Paul Innes is a lecturer in Literature in the Department of Adult & Continuing Education at Glasgow University.  He has also taught at the Universities of Stirling, Strathclyde and Edinburgh, and at the University of Warsaw from 1992-95.  He lives in Glasgow with his wife and two infant children.
